The Dragon Boat Festival, also known as Duanwu, commemorates the poet Qu Yuan. It's celebrated on the 5th day of the 5th lunar month. Legends say he drowned himself in the Miluo River after being betrayed. People paddle dragon boats, eat zongzi (sticky rice dumplings), and hang mugwort leaves and calamus to ward off evil spirits. This festival honors loyalty and courage.
