Qixi Festival, also known as Chinese Valentine's Day, originated from a legendary love story between the weaver girl and the cowherd. According to folklore, the two were separated by the Milky Way but were allowed to meet once a year on the seventh day of the seventh lunar month, when magpies would form a bridge across the sky. This day has since become a traditional time for young people to express their love and seek good marriage prospects.
